The ultimate test of a great presentation is what the audience thought of it. One audience may think it is a great presentation but another audience may think it is average or worse. Different audiences need the presentation to be modified for them.
An audience that knows a lot about the topic being presented needs a different presentation to the one given to an audience that has little or no experience in it.
When developing a great presentation it is important to consider the audience. Find out as much as you can about their knowledge, their attitude to topic, their expectations, the occasion or purpose of the meeting, their age etc. This easier to find out when the presentation is to given within an organization than one given externally.
To summarize - know your audience to give a great presentation.
